The majestic table has a solid oak top, treated at 180 ̊, with a steel base sculpted by the artist Matteo Berra. Meteorite 560 Forte was born in 2016 from Giorgio Pozzi’s idea. Concept and implementation are fully Made in Italy. Meteorite 560 Forte embodies an emotion, a narration of shapes and materials that combines the complexity of a centuries-old wood with the strictness of steel. The plan is to open a tree, in all its majesty and beauty, revealing the secrets that the weather holds within its fibers. The Vulcano treatment makes it stable and burnished, hand planing gives a soft sweetness to the touch. Wood talks about itself, of its past and of its nature which led it to be in flux and movement, like a Piece of history that lives within our space. Just look closely at all its natural colour shades and touch it with one hand: you will understand all its materiality and strength. The sculptor’s approach seems to have moved to the paradox: to search for the impossible. The shape grows for subsequent steel cycles, echoing the wooden structure of the plan, its circles, so referring to the time that is stratified into substance.
